I recently bought a Hyundai Tuscon and discovered that the 26-mpg milage that I expected, actually is much worse. More like 16-18, and worse at freeway speeds (70-75) with the A/C on. I can only imagine how bad a mid- or full-size SUV guzzles gas, as my little Hyundai is about the smallest SUV available and has a 4-cylinder motor.
I've been doing some research and found out that by adding some race-car-type aero devices my milage will impove by at least 20%. Trouble is that I'll have to create these parts myself. More later.
